Timing Belts / Cambelts

Signs that you may need to replace your cambelt (also known as the timing belt):

• Ticking sound when you start the car – this can mean that your cambelt has stretched or worn
• Your car won’t start – this can be because a broken cambelt is not allowing the engine to get going

If you experience either of these or if you haven’t had your cambelt replaced for a while, get in touch with the team at Wilbury Bodyshop, MOT & Service Centre. Most manufacturers recommend having your cambelt replaced at anything between 40,000 and 100,000 miles or between 4 and 6 years. There is no definitive mileage or time period.
